Is it ok to go to the tanning salon when I am slightly sunburned from the salon?
I know how tempting it can be when you are dying for a summer tan, but you can't tan a burn, so you really just have to wait it out. Like everyone else has said, tanning is really bad for the skin, but I understand the urge to get bronzed and would be hypocritical to say I haven't done my fair share of tanning. In the meantime, I have found that Loreal Sublime Glow lotion works wonders... it is really subtle so if you miss a few places, you can't even tell because it builds so gradually. Give it a try!Is it ok to go to the tanning salon when I am slightly sunburned from the salon?
in my opinion you should be happy with who you are .
and for your question' s answer:
there might be a slight chance that you can get skin cancer
BECAREFUL
pale skin instead of having skin cancer????
think it okIs it ok to go to the tanning salon when I am slightly sunburned from the salon?
You cannot tan a burn. It's just not a possibility. You should get a spray tan instead of using a tanning bed. Those are soooo bad for your skin.liquid eyeshadow

How many times do you go to a tanning salon to get a nice brown colour?
ALSO IF YOU ARE FROM LONDON..NAME ME A GOOD PLACE TO GO? AND HOW MUCH..thanks.How many times do you go to a tanning salon to get a nice brown colour?
Any color other than your natural skin color is not good for you! Especially from tanning beds. The rays are so much closer to your skin and not shielded by the atmosphere like the sun is. A little bronze isn't bad, it might protect you a little from getting a burn as bad as from nothing but a ';nice brown'; color isn't good for your skin. If you look at someone who is say ... 30 and has been tanning for 10 years compared to someone the same age and body type, life style, habbits, except for tanning. On average the one that has not been exposing their skin to harmful direct rays will have younger looking skin than the tanning bed attender. Rays that direct make your skin wrinkle faster and you can get skin cancer that has to be surgically removed if it's deadly. How many times do you go to a tanning salon to get a nice brown colour?
Depends on your original skin colour.
My skin is light brown %26amp; I go for 6 minutes the first time, then increase by 3 minutes atleast 3 more times. Usually it takes me about 4-5 visits.
Tanning salons should know just by looking at you, the time in which you will need that is suited to your skin tone.
Depends on how quickly you want skin cancer.
really depends on your skin type and how long long you go in for. If you go to a professional tanning salon like fabutan or something they try and control your time so u dont burn. IF your pasty and naturally so they will probably only let u go in ten minutes at a time(u can boost it up as u keep going). If your trying to get one fast once a day for a week should probably do it.
( by the way i went through a skin cancer scare because of indoor tanning and i highly reccomend just getting a spray on at a
salon because its really not worth it)
Usually every 2-3 weeks.
To the first answered girl. You have some nerve sure if you want to go out and get skin cancer go right ahead but, you have no right putting other people done cause they want to go to the tanning salon. I would go to a tanning salon to get a healthy tan and so what if it cost money to get it. But, oh well I would rather have a healthy one then get skin cancer and have to pay more money to doctors and have freaked up looking skin..Leather ladies you know who you are...Happy New Year
It depends on what kind of tanning lotion you use.
Just wait until the summer, U got the free sun and heat. Be patient girl. I am amazed at how much revenue tanning salons make off from women who are insecure or need to be upkeep with the looks. Its natural to get lighter in the winter. . SOrry need to answer this since i am new to this yahoo answers. lol The answers are all true babe, just save ur money and use the sun. Free is better than spendin, use that term wisely.
I never ever tan, in a salon or otherwise. I have an aversion to wrinkles, age spots, and skin cancer. I perfer my soft fair line-free skin to rough dry flakey tanned leathery skin anyday. Yuck. Happy New Year.
If you want a tan from a tanning bed then it really depends on how light your skin is and how sensitive it is to sunlight...if you tan the right way (which means without burning and lots of lotion to moisturize) then it could take about two to three months.........if you have skin that tans easily then it could only take one month.... there's also the option of getting a spray on tan--- which means that u dont have to worry about getting cancer and wrinkles later on down the road! You should really just talk to ur doctor/demero or a tanning salon employee~~ good luck!
Once you get your base tan - you can go about once every 7-10 days to keep it up. The time it takes to get the base tan will vary. It depends on your skin type. Just start out slow and try not to burn. It takes about a month to get a decent base going. You damage your skin even more every time you burn. I would try to alternate between doing a spray-on mist tan and then maybe doing some bed tanning to make it look better. That is, if you just feel like you have to have a tan. It's really not the smartest thing to do. I was addicted to it for about 10 years, and now I don't go at all.
Never have, never will. I don't believe in artificial beauty. If I want to tan, I get out of the house and get a tan. Personally I see those people who need to be at the tanning salons as pretentious and shallow, but hey .. however you want to blow your cash.

How can you can get a fast tan without using a spray tan or without going to a tanning salon?
tittle says it all!How can you can get a fast tan without using a spray tan or without going to a tanning salon?
lay outside..
:)How can you can get a fast tan without using a spray tan or without going to a tanning salon?
Go outside
There is a lotion like tanning cream that gives a nice tanned look. Try Jergens, it works well and pretty inexpensive. You can find it drug stores and grocery stores.
lay out in the sun (in your back yard or at a pool or something) with some tanning oil and put a lot on, it attracts sun.
do it between 11 am-3pm, those are the best times to get a lot of sun, But if your really pale don't stay out too long you can get burnt really fast.
Also make sure you have something to drink coz you'll get hot really fast.
thats probably the only way you'll get tan besides a fake tan and the tanning beds.
Umm, go stand in the sun, duh!
color yourself with orange or brown marker
take a bath in mexican soda pop....
you can go hang out in the sun
i used that 365 day glow by ocean potion, it's at walmart and is cheap as hell but it works without making you streaky i love it. and you can control the darkness.
Glow lotion.
Stay in the sun and use tanning lotion.

How Many Times Should I Go To The Tanning Salon?
I have a wedding to go to on sept 26 and i have tan lines from going to the beach and all but i wanted to kno how many times should i go im not really a tanning salon kinda person but i just need to make the tan lines go away so i can where a dress so plz help me and no stupid answer about skin cancer i already kno im just doing this for a wedding and never again going to a tanning salonHow Many Times Should I Go To The Tanning Salon?
dont go at all thats wat happened to my friend now she doesnt stop tanning !!!How Many Times Should I Go To The Tanning Salon?
Well your right about the whole skin cancer thing- but when you go tanning you should start only for like 4-7 minutes, then you can bump up the time. How many minutes you go depends on what type of bed you use- ask an employee about their beds. If it is just for tan lines I would say it should only take a week or two at the most!
Instead of going to a tanning salon, a more economical and safer option is a spray on tan, or a lotion that will naturally make you're skin more tan and will get rid of your tan lines in no time, but also keep a natural glow that looks real, unlike a tan you would get at a salon. :)
don't tan let it fade that way your skin is almost on all one color
then get a tan a week before so it settles in and that you still have that bronze look
and you won't get skin cancer if you still have tan lines a little body foundation wouldn't hurt
i wouldn't recommend it and im not sure. i suggest either getting a self tanner or going to a tanning salon that doesn't use tanning beds but sprays you when you're naked (you're alone don't worry) it really worked for my cousin :)
it depends if its a tanning booth, or the spray on kind. Spray on... 1nce or 2wice... tanning bed... i dont recommend because i was once in one for only 10 minutes (even though it was recommended at 30 mins) and i literally passed out later that day
you should get spray tanned. it looks better and it MUCH better for your skin.

How old do you have to be to work at a tanning salon in missouri?
well i live in missouri and wantin to know how old I have to be to work at a tanning salon. but im only 15. Am i old enough to work at a tanning salon? How old do you have to be to work at a tanning salon in missouri?
Tanning salons are regulated by the state, so I'd be surprised if they'd hire anyone that's less than 18. You should consider calling a few salons on the phone and asking them. How old do you have to be to work at a tanning salon in missouri?
Missouri's Division of Labor Standards states that:
';Young people 14 to 15 years of age are permitted to work in a number of different types of businesses, with the majority working in some form of retail or food services. A work certificate is required during the school year.';
It also states:
';Prohibited occupations (for your age) generally involve dangerous equipment (cookers, slicers), dangerous materials (such as toxic chemicals), or dangerous duties (driving, roofing).';
Tanning salons are likely within the ';prohibited occupations.'; You'll find more information about this on the site linked below.
Did you know that your state has a jobs Web site for your age? It's also linked below.
I hope you find a job and a career that suits you.
