Can A light skinned african american person get tan at a tanning salon?

im a mixed girl hlf blk hlf white..i have a very pretty complextion but its prettier with a tanCan A light skinned african american person get tan at a tanning salon?
yes everyone can get darker no matter what skin color when tanning, though i highly advise not to tan...tanning is actually damage to ur skin. its ur cells getting injured. a burn is ur cells dying...damage to ur skin doesn't discriminate against skin color...instead try a spray tan at the salon...they wont turn u orange if the person behind the counter is experienced as well as the fact that the formula has changed. its healthier for ur skin. just follow directions on what to do before and after getting a spray tan so that it comes out nice and even...you can find that info online at the mystic tanning site...i think they give the best instructions on hwo to get the best spray tan...just substitute their products for ones u can afford and can buy where u live, like vaseline is a good substitute for the mystic tan blending cream. and find an exfoliator with out oil, like a home made sugar scrub or salt scrub with out the oil.

if u must tan using UV radiation even though i warned u, even though ur tanned naturally, u might want to add a minute to the base tan time...u want to start out at 7-8 minutes and work ur way up from there...if they say they have new bulbs, lessen the time by a minute or more depending on how harsh the bed is u get...the more expensive the bed, the better results and the less chance of burn...and less burns u have in ur life means it also a tiny bit safer for ur skin in the chance of skin cancer, if u compare burns to tans that is. i find that australian gold is a good tanning lotion to start off with because it cheaper...dont be fooled byt tanning salons saying that its safe and alright if u tan because its good for u because u get vitamin D, the fact is u only need 10 minutes of natural sun, meaning less than one minute in a bed at most...which isn't enough to tan at all when getting ur daily dose of vitamin D, a tan is basically ur skin saying no more please, it hurts. so a lot of what they say is BS on how its good for u. they only say it beause its promoting them...lol...i jsut wanted u to know the dangers of tanning is all...i tan sometimes, i know the dangers, i try to avoid msot of the time, but i still tan just because i like it and i know the potential consequences are higher when i do...Can A light skinned african american person get tan at a tanning salon?
Yes.

Tanning beds give you a heavy dose of UV rays for a short period of time, whereas natural sunlight gives you a low dose for long periods of time. Either way, your skin should get darker, unless you don't tan at all.

Be careful to take care of your skin -- too much suntanning can damage it.
Yes you can! Besides from getting color, you need 15 minutes of unprotected sun a day to maintain healthy vitamin D levels. By tanning indoors, you can achieve both of these.
If you get darker in the sun, you'll also get dark in a tanning bed.

Ask whoever's working there for their opinion... darker skinned girls ahve more melanin, which can act as a natural sunscreen so it may take longer for you to tan.
Yes, you can get a tan from a tanning salon, but wouldn't do that since Summer is coming and you can tan naturally with the help of the sun.
Yes! If you tan in the sun you will ten better at a salon. because of the technology they have in the beds.
It all depends on how your skin reacts to things like that.

Some people burn, some people tan.

If you wanna tan you might as well go outside and put on some sunscreen lol Sunlight's free.
yes, i know of a few girls that are african american that
