i want to go tanning just a couple of times just to get some color. but my mom wont go in there with me. I live in california will i be able to go tanning when i am only sixteen with out a parent?Do you have to be 18 to tan at a tanning salon?
By law no... but some salons might overlook it and allow you to.Do you have to be 18 to tan at a tanning salon?
It depends per individual state.
16 is usually the cut off (any younger will need parental consent). This is because 90% of skin damage/cancer is done by burning/over exposure fo the sun BEFORE the age of 18 (your skin hasnt matured yet).
You could always try and if they say no go to another salon. But usually after 16 yrs old, there is no need for consent
no . i dont think so. but still. tanning beds. are not a good idea. my mom is a plastic surgeon so she deals with alot of skin issues. she says tanning beds cause little skin cancers later on down the road. all her friends that went to tanning beds alot when they were younger have them . so yeh. i would suggest a really good. not fake looking (yes its possible) spray tan. :)
you only have to be 16 to tan WITH parental consent.
-You have to be 18 to go tan alone..
*this is the case for all states i am pretty sure..
don't be a muppet tanning salon make you look fake and even a couple of times you risk skin cancer, get a natural tan with sun cream ON or use a really good fake tan.
No you don't. I have seen a lot of mothers bring their young daughters in before to tan
i don't think so. a lot of my friends went to tanning salons when they were like 15.
noo! but if ur under 18 u need parents to fill some papers out.
im 16 and my parents just came down and signed the paper. i filled the rest out.
